Founder & Lead Educator
Katherine Bastowros
Katherine founded the Canadian Academy of English to bring the quality and standards of Canadian education to learners everywhere. An English educator and curriculum specialist, she has taught English Language Arts and English as a Second Language across Canada and internationally — from preparing university-bound students for the IELTS and CAEL exams to teaching secondary English abroad.
Much of her career has centered on building curriculum from the ground up — writing objectives, designing lessons and assessments, and creating learning that meets every student where they are.
